Lunch date with the Wife. From being greeted at the door to the final bite, Hospitality was great. Healthy food with a great taste. Can't wait to try other items on the menu. If your into Organic Food this is the place.

Alittle confusing when entering, fortunately staff was ready to guide us to where we needed to be. I had the steak with two sides. Steak had to be reheated which took a good 5 mins... which was alittle long because i had to stand and wait for it. Checkout cafeteria style which was alright. Most if the food on display looked delicious. Food overall was pretty good. Although i was disappointed with my steak. With reheating it was alittle dry.. and was definitely standing on display for a good 2 hours. My sides, brussel sprouts and potatoo and carrots on the other hand were on point well seasoned and perfect. Over all pretty good experience but main was kinda lacking.

The food was, by and large good and the selection was large and imaginative. Great eclectic selection. My only negative was the asparagus was way too thick. It was tough and woodsy tasting as a result. Please, select thinner asparagus. Kudos to the staff for the constant cleaning of the tables. It was very reassuring.

Entrées overall was 3 stars. Desserts that we had were 5 stars while service was 3 stars. I had the free range chicken which was bland and dry. At least my 2 sides were tasty: the tomato mozzarella salad and the roasted brussel sprouts with turkey bacon--however, I didn't really see any or actually taste any turkey bacon. The Ahi Tuna was also fairly dry, but had a tad more flavor than my chicken. Urban Plates seemed to have somewhat redeemed themselves with their sandwiches - - both the chicken and steak with chimichurri sauce were tasty. We were also encouraged to try some samples of their homemade juices and our fave ended up being the orange- mango-cantaloupe mix (don't quote me on this one, couldn't remember the fruit combo, but it definitely had cantaloupe!) the juices with basil were just a little too strong for my taste. The best part of our dinner was the desserts. If you want something light and refreshing but full of flavor, definitely get the mango tart. If you like banana bread and pineapples, then get the Hummingbird cake--it was an amazing blend of flavors. The dessert winner of the night was the Chocolate Vanilla Layer cake--this was the best chocolate cake I've ever had--and I've had my share of chocolate cake!
All in all, I think we'd give Urban Plates another shot. At the least, we'd go there for their decadent desserts and tasty coffee.
