I must have met. I'd lived 2 blocks away from Anegada's. The community heard about the location opening years ago. But I'd never toke the opportunity to stop by to try out there caribbean food until today. I stopped by an hour before closing. The area inside was clean. I was greeted by a young man, so respectful. He assists me with a Inquire There was a small rush of individuals coming in for pick up or to place orders; prior too closing. My wait time was about 20 minutes. I ordered 1. coco bread, 1. beef patty, brown stew chicken combo. Sides rice and peas, steamed zucchini with peppers and onions. No complaints about the coco bread. The beef patty was flaky and delicious. *I just wish there were more filling of the spice beef inside of the patty.* The zucchini was delicious; not under seasoned, and/or overly seasoned it was right. The rice and peas delicious no complaints. My brown stew chicken, was delicious as well. I should have ordered cabbage instead of the rice peas. Because the combo already it comes with rice and peas. *My only complaint, I wish whoever plated it my food. Woud have given me; a little bit more of the stew chicken, he was a little skimpy with the chicken.* I'd forgot to ask to have some additional sauce placed over my rice and chicken, like how I usually prefer to have. I love the brown stew sauce. In the near future I'll plan on trying different combo's etc from the menu.

I first tried this place last week and came back to order in person. The person who I assume is the owner took my order. He was very kind. You can see a fridge stocked with fresh ingredients when you order which I think is always a great sign. I had regular sorrel, it was a deep color and fresh. The vegetarian chopped cheese was amazing!! Added some scotch bonnet (hot sauce) which was the perfect amount of heat. The plantains were yummy too, I ate a few in the photo pictured. Portion sizes are generous and I had leftovers this time and last time. I came to this place because I missed having Jamaican or Caribbean food from when I was in New York. Wish there was something like this closer go the DC area. Side note: I am a life long vegetarian so I have high expectations when it comes to vegetarian food

It was my first time eating here. I checked the vegetarian options on the menu before heading to a quarterly board meeting for the Restaurant Association of Maryland that was held in the Lakeview Conference Room inside the building when the restaurant is located. After the meeting, I headed straight to the restaurant because I was hungry. I ordered a mushroom platter with rice and peas and a zucchini, squash and onions veggie mix, and a pineapple ginger drink. The food was fresh and tasty. I joined the loyalty program and look forward to using the awards I've accumulated on my next meal.

So I went this morning to get the viral “jerk chicken & shrimp mac&cheese”. The jerk flavor was definitely there however the dish lacked everywhere else. I was expecting this to have a good mac& cheese consistency and it didnt. There was no cheese pull. Im not really sure if there was even cheese in it. Had I had know that I would only get 1 shrimp cut up into tiny bite size peices, I wouldve just had got the jerk chicken itself. The beef patty was “just ok”. I think it couldve been cooked a little longer. I came to this restaurant because of a video that I saw on tiktok. I guess chefs or something because my mac & cheese did not look like the mac & cheese that I saw in the video.
However, the staff was very nice and the restaurant (dining area) was clean.

The ox tail was great. I went there today with my mom. It was her 89 birthday. No one was at the counter while we were there. Two people one cook and one working in the back. No one to answer questions about what I ordered. Or to ask what drinks are sugar free. My mom is a diabetic. In the pass add a better experience. That's why I bought my mom for her eighty nine birthday.
