A welcoming, friendly environment from start to finish! I first visited The Beach House Spa in 2021 while 10 weeks pregnant, and throughout my appointment the staff treated me with kindness and consideration. I'm now heading back for a long-awaited facial/massage combo!
Kari assisted me with scheduling the adjoining appointments and answered all my questions with a warm, professional attitude. Many thanks to The Beach House Spa for giving all its customers much-needed TLC!

We were visiting from out of town (DC) and decided last-minute to treat ourselves to a couples massage and we are SO glad we found this place! From the moment we called they agreed to open early for us since they were all booked up for the day we needed. The customer service was incredible. They were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to accommodate us.
The entire experience felt so thoughtful and professional. We left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already wishing we could come back again soon. The facilities are clean and smell so good. Excited to visit their new Columbia location when it opens.

TLDR: I would personally not recommend this spa for facials and would not feel comfortable returning. To give you an idea of my experience - the aesthetician who worked on me told me I needed to go to a dermatologist to get my skin fixed...unprompted lol
My husband booked a couple's facial as a law school graduation gift for me. I was really looking forward to relaxing and feeling refreshed and glowy after the appointment.
They told us that our apt needed to be pushed back because no aestheticians were available (even though he booked weeks in advance). As an apology for the inconvenience, they offered us 30 minutes in the sauna. The host recommended we enter the sauna nude. Everything was fine up until someone knocked on the door to ask if we were ready about 5 minutes early. This was fine - it just startled us a bit because we were still naked lol
We followed instructions to dry off and lay on the spa bed under the sheet. We overheard the host explaining to the aestheticians why were in the sauna and their scheduling. When the two aestheticians came in, it seemed as if they were unclear as to the schedule and what they were supposed to do for us. Their materials were (a bit chaotically) brought in on their tool cart. They didn't review our intake form in advance. (To me, all of this seems like poor planning, lack of communication and professionalism)
The aesthetician who worked on my husband seemed very friendly and knowledgable with great bedside manners and let him know each step she was planning on doing.
My aesthetician, however, was in and out of the room to get more materials in the first half of the facial. She didn't give me a clear understanding of what will be treated (dryness, inflammation, pores, etc) or what kind of facial we will be doing. When she asked me about my skin, I mentioned I had a lot of scarring from acne. Instead of telling me the kind of facial we will be working on or what she noticed upon shining a bright light to analyze my face, she repeated several times that I need to go to a dermatologist to get my skin fixed and asked me if I've ever been to a dermatologist and if I use any skin care. (Maybe she thought I was telling her to get rid of my scars via a facial but I also let her know I had bad acne and went through accutane, which typically means that I have enough exposure to skin related issues to have a basic understanding that facials and medical treatments are not the same thing. Idk, it all just seemed odd that she kept telling me that I need to go see a dermatologist to "get that fixed." All it made me feel was more unease, lack of trust, and just plain self-conscious and bad about my skin.
I also noticed that my husband and I got almost the same exact facial treatment once I asked her to tell me what she was doing for each step as she did them. This rang some alarm bells for me in my head because my husband and I have entirely different skin types.
Lastly, at the very end, she didn't complete the ending of my facial. Instead, she left abruptly before the last step and had my husband's aesthetician do the final micro frequency wand treatment on me after she was done with my husband.
All of this was very strange. I've had facials done before and so have my husband. We've never experienced such disjointed and uncomfortable facial experience.
I can confidently say that I was not feeling relaxed after this experience, which was quite disappointing. I don't say all this to bash any one specific person. Instead, I write all this as a way to bring awareness to the business that this type of experience is unacceptable for paying clients. I think my husband paid around $300 for the couple's facial, which is not the cheapest we have seen. I also want to bring awareness to other potential clients who are considering booking an appointment - I think it's best to look elsewhere.
I kept two stars because my husband's aesthetician was nice and did a good job explaining things and the room and sauna were clean.

Based on my phone call to schedule massages for my daughter and me for 8/10/25, I am really looking forward to great customer service! The receptionist was extremely helpful and patient as she explained what our options were and what to expect during out appointments. She offered information about specials on addon services which we hope to take advantage of. I was very pleased with the interaction: so nice to speak with a human instead of automated messages! We are both looking forward to our masages!

I think my therapist napped through my appointment?
I've been coming here for a few years. I used to come monthly and see Dia, and she was amazing. Later, I purchased 5 90-minute deep tissue massages, and I just tried to have my last one in the package. It took many weeks to get it booked, but Kari and I were able to make a date and time fit in the schedule a week in advance. I don’t know who my therapist would have been today.
Well, I take off work early, drive a half hour, and wait in the waiting room.
Fifteen minutes after my appointment time, I notice that I hear snoring...
I text Kari to confirm (this is how I originally booked)... no response
A few minutes later I politely tell her I'm in the waiting room and I think someone is asleep (hoping this isn't my massage therapist)... no response
After 30 minutes of waiting past my appointment time, I finally leave and let her know via text... no response
Really disappointing. What should have been 90 minutes of relaxation time turned into 90 minutes of commuting at rush hour and waiting in a lobby listening to someone nap.
No, I was not going to wake them up. That is so uncomfortable. I did try to make noise in the lobby but they are heavy sleepers.
