I found this restaurant on Google, and we stopped in on a Friday night. It was pretty empty, but a good number of takeout orders were coming through.
We ordered an appetizer and a few different entrées—everything was delicious. The lamb biryani was especially good. I’m glad the server suggested I choose medium heat instead of hot because it was spicier than I expected, and medium was perfect.
They brought chickpea crackers and dips when we sat down, and those were also delicious. We really enjoyed chatting with our waitress.
We’ll definitely be back.

Finally got a chance to try this Indian restaurant in my neighborhood and I wasn't disappointed! They have a lunch special Monday through Thursday for $18 with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Drinks are extra. The veggie option includes a samosa, naan, three mini entrees (chickpeas, spinach paneer, and potatoes/cauliflower), rice, salad, and rice pudding for dessert. They also bring papadum and chutneys to start. It's a sizeable, filling meal for the price, and I had enough leftover for dinner. They offer a full, but modestly sized, buffet Friday through Sunday. The food was high quality with lots of complex flavors, and not too heavy or greasy like some Indian can be. The service was friendly and attentive, and not overly formal. They had incense burning when I came in, so it smelled wonderful, and they put Baliwood videos on the TV, which was fun. Overall, this seems like a nice, family run restaurant that deserves more visitors!

Iniya was our server. So friendly! Introduced us to chilled appetizer chat papri—garbanzos, rice crisps, tomatoes, onions, spices. Try it! The Punjabi kadi was perfect—-3 spice level is perfect, mildly spiced. Beautiful meat in the butter chicken. Best Mulligatawny soup I’ve ever had. Nice music playing softly and white tablecloths! Give House of India a try!
