The Ale House is a hidden gem in Columbia, Maryland. If you are looking for a happy hour spot for a group or just want to watch sports with a friend, this restaurant is a fantastic spot. Welcoming atmosphere and great service, and the food is very tasty. The chicken tenders were great, I like the regular fries as opposed to the potato wedges that came with the fish and chips. The fried haddock was absolutely delicious. However, they need to work on the coleslaw. It was almost like a side salad. The chocolate brownie sundae was a great hit for two people. Make sure to request the hot fudge, caramel, and whip cream toppings. I couldn't even think about finishing it by myself. Would highly recommend. Will be going back to try other entrée and desserts.

Good food and wide selection of beer and cocktails. Wait staff was friendly yet a tad bit on the slow side. I'm not sure if was our server or the bar making drinks? Overall a good time to be had.

Food and service were great! I got the scramble bowl , fried green tomatoes and french toast bites. 😋 We also got the bottomless mimosas. This place is popular so parking on weekends can be challenging.

My wife & I were looking for a good wing spot in Columbus and saw good reviews for this restaurant and we weren’t disappointed.
Our waiter Brian was spectacular. Super friendly and attentive. We loved the hot old bay wings. The blackened shrimp salad was Delicious. And the Salmon BLT was really good also. I highly recommend this restaurant and to top off an already great experience the Manager Kevin came to our table and he was so Pleasant and welcoming. The staff even exchanged pleasantries on the way out.
Great Food & Outstanding service.
A+ from start to finish !!!

LOVE this place and need to come more often. Good food, an extensive draft beer list and fantastic service. We’d been working hard over the last couple of weeks and just wanted slow food and slow conversation so we could unwind and we got it. This wasn’t a “turn the table” experience and it was just what we needed. Ask for Lena-the-server; she kept an eye on us, made sure we had everything we needed and made sure we didn’t feel rushed. Thank you!!
