Visited Koto Sake Steak House in Columbia this evening. The service was awesome. We were seated right away and our waiter was very personable and attentive.
I started out with the Seafood Spring rolls. They were stuffed well with veggies and from what I can taste and tell, shrimp and crab meat. They came with a sweet chili sauce which complimented the spring rolls well.
For the entree, I chose the pick 3 hibachi. I usually get steak, chicken, and shrimp. Today, I wanted to try something different. So I tried the steak, chicken, and scallops.
Our cook/chef was awesome and he was accommodating to everyone at the table. He was funny and entertaining. He cooked our food to perfection. Everything was tasty and cooked perfectly.
I enjoyed myself and the food. I would recommend trying this place. On a side note, I have eaten here for sushi and I recommend their sushi as well!

Food just wasn't up to the prices. Primarily because of how it was prepared. Second we were at a Habacci table and a woman and her son needed their steak cooked more. The chef rather than wait until all the other food was finished cooking on the grill placed their food back on the grill with the same cooking utensils he was using for all the food. This is a major no no in food safety. After that I completely lost any desire to finish my meal.

Food was alright. Maybe a lil over sauced/seasoned compared to what I'm used to.
Service could've used some work. I ordered a specialty sushi as an appetizer and they seemed to have misunderstood me as saying I wanted the "sushi appetizer", maybe my bad, I don't know. But I got my roll and what I thought was a complimentary cucumber roll on the plate or I thought was supposed to come with it. They gave me the "sushi appetizer" about 10 mins after the hibachi portion was done, which I declined, but they put it on my bill anyway. I contested it then they said the cucumber roll was something I apparently ordered as a separate thing which I didn't know was separate and I got charged for that instead.
It also took us about 25mins to be sat and another 10-15mins to be served, but that's probably because it was Friday at dinner time.
Chef had to leave at one point to get a portion of tuna despite what I assume he asked someone to do for him.
Just needs a lil more organization tbh.

We had a birthday party here and everything went amazing! The staff were kind and and very attentive. We had to change the time of our reservation and then make adjustments for late comers and they were helpful and friendly about everything! Not to mention the food was great and so was our chef. I honestly don't have anything negative to say about our experience.

This place was great. Food was awesome. Chef was very friendly. The only reason I'm doing 4 stars is because the chef asked us all how we wanted our steak (most said medium rare, I said rare) and my steak was closer to medium (no pink). But it was still delicious.
